Who is on the S1-Safety 1st FIRST TEAM?
When we started to build our First Aid Team years ago, we built it with the needs that we felt every construction site should have. We decided on people with 911 experience, fire department experience, certified trainers in CPR, AED, and First AID, EMT experience, and Paramedic experience. These skills, we know, will help every individual on every site. The more experience is life saving techniques, the better!
A paramedic is a healthcare professional predominantly in the pre-hospital and out-of-hospital environment, and working mainly as part of emergency medical services, such as on an ambulance. The scope of practice of a paramedic includes autonomous decision making around the emergency care of patients.
What is an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)?
EMTs are clinicians, trained to respond quickly to emergency situations regarding medical issues, traumatic injuries and accident scenes. EMTs are most commonly found working on ambulances. EMTs operate on a limited scope and are supervised by a Medical Director.
